A small conference with a long memory
ICHC has met every year since 2016. It stays single-track and deliberately small: around forty papers are accepted, every author presents to the whole room, and the discussion carries from the auditorium into the arcade. The 2027 edition is hosted by the Department of Informatics and Media at Uppsala University.
Single track. No parallel sessions. Everyone hears every paper.
Open proceedings. Every accepted paper is free to read on the day it is presented.
Reasons researchers keep coming back
The programme is built for argument rather than throughput: long question periods, a town hall, and a studio afternoon where authors demonstrate what they built.
